Education: MBA - Temple University - concentration in Accounting.
BS - Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania - Economics major. Experience: 1996-date: Software developer. Performed all phases of web development for a major consulting firm’s intranet using a broad range of Microsoft technologies, including .NET. Developed a Web site for a major bank using ASP, VBScript, JavaScript and server-side components in VB6. Designed and developed applications including a Delphi/ORACLE front-end for a data warehouse, a Delphi interface to a COBOL-style database, and ActiveX Controls. Taught courses on Crystal Reports and COBOL programming.

1984-1996: General partner, D. Smolen & Co., an options trading firm at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. Made markets in options and supervised the activities of other traders.

1976-1984: Options trader (Oakley Sutton Securities). Made markets in options on the floor of the American Stock Exchange.

1967-1976: Held a variety of positions at Temple University Computer Center including scientific programmer, systems programmer and manager of systems programming. Also taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Computer Science. Other: Languages: C#, VB.NET, XML, Visual Basic, SQL, VBScript, Java, JavaScript, DHTML, Delphi, COBOL, Fortran.
